I would love us to go for a manager that can come in and start to build a team with a definitive style and way of playing. As much as it hurts to say it but a bit like Pochettino has done at Spurs.
We are so directionless. We don’t seem to have a favoured formation or style and our approach to recruitment is scattergun at best. This summer kind of proved that, yes we spent a few quid (not a lot when you think we got the soulless shithole for free) and signed some decent players but it seemed no one gave a second thought as to how they fit into a system. Hernandez for example, has at times been made to play on the wing and up front alone. It does more to nullify his qualities than any defence we’ve faced. We are not getting the best out of him because he was bought simply because we needed a striker and he has a good record, not because someone thought he would be effective for us.
We need to forget all this “proven in the Premier League” bollox. That only leads to has-been and never were’s unless we can poach a top manager like Pochettino, Wenger, Mourinho, Conte or Guardiola and that aint gonna happen whilst I have a hole in my arse. Those lot all had to come here without experience and they seemed to do fine. Its football so quality will adapt.
The same goes for players, the only proven players we can get are the bang average ones (See Ayew and Aurnautovic) so maybe it’s time to look for players that haven’t played in England before. It is achievable to find affordable player that can adapt quickly and be a top quality part of the team/squad if the club were prepared to put in the effort, research and scouting. (See Lanzini)
In short I want us to put some trust in a young(ish) manager with modern ideas and allow him to build an identity.
Let them have control over the team and recruitment and let them get on with it without that stumpy cunt trying to play real life Championship Manager in the background.

Espírito Santo has impressive managerial statistics at Valencia,Porto and now Wolves are top of the Championship with a 75% win record so far.
Unfortunately being Portuguese, he will know all about the 'Dildo Brothers' transfer dealings and I doubt he would go anywhere near them.

So we are starting to worry about who will be our manager, by the start of next season, already?
The owners will bend over backwards to keep hold of Bilic whilst there is still hope of avoiding relegation. Then he can do a BFS and walk at the end of his three year contract.
As for who takes over you can start by eliminating the big names because they would want big budgets and that ain't gonna happen is it?

Walter Mazzarri looks like he is not to be messed with and available.
We need a disciplinarian so Koeman would also do a job as out of work.
Some of the big names will never happen as usual as the 2bobs only do CHEAP, which also rules out Silva and Wagner as they already have jobs and compensation will have to be made.
Everton will get in first by the time the 2bobs get their head out the sand.
